HEA announces recipients of National SATLE Impact Awards

Five higher education institutions benefit from Performance Funding totalling €5M.

We collect, analyse and disseminate student & graduate data returned to the HEA from all HEA-funded institutions annually.
The overall non-progression rate for full-time undergraduate new entrants in 2022/23 was 11%. The highest rate of non-progression amongst new entrants was (Level 7) at 25% and (Level 6) and 23%. STEM fields of study had much higher than average rates of non-progression than non-STEM fields at Levels 6 and 7. At level 8, Arts & Humanities, and Services all had higher than average rates of non-progression, at 12% and 21% respectively.
The mean salary for the Class of 2021 was €40,556 for males and €35,790 for females.
Over the 2021/22 to 2023/24 period 9% of higher education students in Ireland were Disadvantaged. This was consistent across all the academic years in the period. 17% of students were Affluent, 27% were Marginally Below Average, and 46% were Marginally Above Average.
